Why does the Beef Rendang have no curry or gravy? Our beef rendang is a traditional version which is cooked dry. There's no gravy or curry in it. (Excerpt from Wikipedia: Traditional rendang takes hours to cook. Cooking rendang involves pounding and grinding ingredients as well as slow cooking, and so is time-consuming and requires patience. The meat pieces are slowly cooked in coconut milk and spices until almost all the liquid is gone, allowing the meat to become tender and absorb the condiments.)

Why doesn't the Cabbage Kimchi taste like those bought from the supermarket? Our kimchi is made fresh every time you place an order with us. We only ferment it for a day before your collection date. If you'd like your kimchi to have a more intense flavour and sour aftertaste, you can ferment it without refrigeration for a few more days before consuming it or keep it fermented in the refrigerator for at least 4-5 weeks. After 4-5 weeks of fermentation, it'll be just nice to use it for a jjigae.
